Position Summary
Oil The Woodlands Group LLC is seeking a motivated and bilingual Technical Quoter / Inside Sales Representative to join our growing international operations team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our customers in the Oil & Gas drilling industry, focusing on providing accurate technical quotations, sourcing parts and equipment, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and vendors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in land or offshore drilling operations, a strong understanding of rig components, and the ability to translate technical needs into precise and competitive quotes.
- Prepare and issue accurate technical quotations for equipment, tools, and spare parts related to oil and gas drilling rigs.
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, and online platforms (including LinkedIn) to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to obtain competitive pricing and availability.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers while identifying potential new opportunities.
- Track, manage, and follow up on open quotes and purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment. • Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to manage delivery timelines and documentation. • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activities using company CRM systems or spreadsheets. • Support marketing initiatives and online customer engagement when necessary.
- Education: Technical or engineering background preferred (mechanical, petroleum, or industrial fields ideal).
- Experience:
- - 1–5 years of hands-on experience working on land or offshore oil & gas drilling rigs. • - 1–5 years of purchasing or inside sales experience in the oilfield equipment supply chain. • Languages: Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF. • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel occasionally if required.
